Description
In it's role as a pirate hunting vessel, the USS Jeanne D'Arc is equiped with things not standard on any other Constitution-Class ship. One of thos things is the starfighter that sits in it's extended shuttle-bay. This craft was the primary reason that Ens Cam Decker was assigned to. He happens to be a naturally gifted fighter pilot.
Given that the rest of the auxiliary craft on the JDA are name after characters from Les Miserables (The assault shuttle Valjean, the primary Cosette, the travelpod Fantine, and the target Drone Javert,) this starfighter carries the unofficial name Eponine. The only thing keeping it from being official is that the Captain is looking of the right girl to model for the fighter's noseart. She is generally stowed suspended from the overhead of the shuttlebay.

Insightful explanation for the starfighter and the auxiliary ships of the JDA. Love the fact its going to have nose art. Thank you for the link, it helped wrapped my mind around this unflattering design by showing how well you did render it.
